After graduating in the Summer of 1994 I really wanted to go on to an MSc. However this wasn't to be and I ended up studying for a PGCE - teacher training. The first school was tough - a girls school in the Swansea area. The next was ok but the work was taxing on top of the study part of the course as well. However, in the summer of 1995 I qualified as a secondary school teacher and took a break in the Southwest of France visiting the beaches and the stunning 'Dune de Pilat'. In September I began work at Olchfa Comprehensive in Swansea. This job lasted one year and in September of 1996 I moved to Canterbury in Kent to work at Montgomery GM school.

In January 1996 I travelled to egypt and took in just about every experience there was! We travelled from the Great pyramids in Giza to the far South and the Aswan Dam, across to Sinai and Dahab and back to Luxor. This really is a tour worth doing. The history and views were truely awesome.

In the Summer of 1996 I travelled to America and did a huge tour of the West from San Francisco in a loop through The Grand Teton mountain range, Yosemite National Park, Bryce Canyon, Monument Valley, Las Vegas, The Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam and The Canyonlands and back to SF to see Alcatraz. The scenery was fantastic and the tour was interesting being on a 1950's coach which broke down on the way out of San Francisco!
